Irish Blackthorn Celtic Ogham runes: Elder futhark alphabet

£10.00

These handmade Irish Blackthorn Celtic Ogham runes, have been crafted from salvaged wood around the Causeway coast of Northern Ireland. Famed for the Giants causeway, and the Celtic legend of Finn McCool, and further inland, the Mesolithic site at Mount Sandel, which dates from approximately 5935 BC, this area has enormous spiritual energies.

The Elder futhark Ogham alphabet has been burnt into the blackthorn after the wood has been fully seasoned to ensure no cracking. Each rune has been treated with linseed oil to protect the wood. Treating wood with linseed oil is a traditional technique, so these runes could be almost identical to those used in ancient times.

An Elder futhark alphabet 'scroll' will be included.

A velvet drawstring bag can be added for an additional fee.
